Waterfalls NH Bear Notch Cross Country Ski Trail
up to Bartlett New Hampshire and get some fresh air – The Cross Country Ski Conditions are pristine!! Today was the 1st day we used our season passes for Bear Notch Ski Touring to Cross Country ski on the Bear Notch Bartlett New Hampshire Trails. Conditions were awesome! Soft packed powder allowed us to stay in the perfect tracks up and down hill. Trail 2 was very nice! The waterfalls, rivers and brooks are only half frozen so you can enjoy the babbling sounds and the crystal clear water views. The perks of midweek skiing include the fact that you will probably not see anyone else when you are out skiing! Today we only saw 1 other couple! Bear Notch Cross Country Skiing is close to Bretton Woods NH and North Conway NH too. The Bartlett Inn has trail access right out our back door. The first few hundred meters are a fun powdery back country ski until you reach the groomed trails. This is also one of the few dog friendly cross country ski trail networks in New Hampshire. A very convenient place to stay is the Pet Friendly Bed and Breakfast and Cottages of the Bartlett Inn. I recommend this trail system any day of the week. Stay at the Bartlett Inn midweek Sunday through Friday for 2 or more nights and we will give you 2 Bear Notch Cross Country Ski passes free! Just mention this blog entry! ( You can also snowshoe at Bear Notch and rent cross country skiis and snowshoes for a very reasonable price…least expensive place in the area!) I recommend this trail system any day of the week!
