White Lake State Park is just a 35 minute drive from the Bartlett Inn near North Conway NH. This is a decent sized lake with a great white sand swimming area. You can rent canoes, kayaks and paddle boats for just $10 /hr. We took a paddle boat out and had a great time. White Lake also has a campground so there was the convenience of a camp store and bathrooms and changing rooms right on the beach. The beach was set up well for families. There are 2 rows of huge pine trees offering shade and lots of picnic tables and a playground. There is a trail that goes around the lake well shaded and it is a bit over a mile long. A family of ducks with babies was swimming around. The whole family, ducks and humans, had a great time here and the scenery was great too!
