The tradition of city dwellers from Boston and other southern suburban areas since the 1800′s has been to come North to the White Mountains of New Hampshire to escape the heat and enjoy fresh mountain air and crystal clear lakes and streams.  The Bartlett Inn has continued the tradition as a hospitality business for over 90 years.  We still accommodate hikers, bikers, those that just want to relax, shoppers for Settlers Green Outlets and another family tradition – Storyland in Glen NH and Santa’s Village in Jefferson NH and of course those dancing Bears at Clark’s Trading Post in Lincoln NH.  Don’t feel like hiking – the Bartlett Inn provides lodging close to the Conway Scenic Railroad or a trip up Mt Washington on the historic Cog Railway.  Whatever you decide to do the Bartlett Inn will be happy to give trail, rail and amusement park advice.  Or just relax by the heated swimming pool.  A modern touch was required this Summer of 2010 – the heat drove us to install air Conditioners in each and every guest room.  Continue the tradition lodge a a bed and breakfast or inn and support the small independents that have give super lodging in North Conway and the White Mountains for 200 years!
